About Us

The Recover Brand was born out of ‘social enterprise’ Katwalk Kimberleys CIC. Our not for profit organisation that has a strong social conscience to bring back manufacturing to Middlesbrough, England giving jobs to recovering addicts, ex-offenders and those that suffer from mental ill health. We believe that giving these people an opportunity for employment will support them to remain abstinent from substance misuse and keep them mentally healthy. We chose the 'Phoenix Bird' logo as it represents 'rising from the ashes', symbolising anybody can turn their lives around. "I can do anything through him who gives me strength". Philippians 4 v 13

We are a small (but beautifully formed) ethical company that not only supports our local area, we want to do our bit for the planet by making jeans that “tell a story”. We have partnered with Better Cotton
Initiative (BCI) which is a global (not for profit) organisation whose ethical standards are second to none
and we are proud to be supporting cotton farmers that produce hand woven cotton creating jobs for local people and in turn cutting down on carbon footprint.

We have also partnered with “Where does it come from” another social enterprise based in Suffolk who
gladly introduced us to BCI. Connecting with like minded ethical organisations will not only strengthen
the message of sustainability, it allows a bigger platform to share visions, traceability and gain more
followers of sustainable fashion and NOT fast fashion!
